Howdy there friends! My name is Pongo, and I am an energetic, fun boy! I'm a male Shepherd/Retriever mix, and the staff thinks I'm around 2-3-years-old. I came to the SPCA after I was picked up as a stray. I actually got loose right in front of the SPCA. What luck, right?! So what can I tell you about myself? Well, I was adopted by this nice lady (who had nothing but great stuff to say about me), but she only had me a month when I was cornered by a man I didn't know. Since I felt a little threatened, I did nip at him, but I was only trying to tell him I was afraid. I can't talk, ya know! Right now, I'm staying at a foster home, and my foster mom says that I'm housebroken and get along with most other dogs. I walk on a leash really well, too. She says I love toys - especially squeakies - and I love to run and exercise. It would be great if you had a nice, big fenced-in yard for me. I want to make friends, but I get a little nervous when someone approaches suddenly; I need a slow, leisurely introduction. If you'd like to meet me, my foster mom would be happy to introduce us!
